Apple Watch has pretty solid battery life and in most cases, has no issue lasting through an entire day. But for those who are always traveling, or who just need a little extra juice before a workout, the watch doesn’t always cut it. ElevationLab’s latest product, BatteryPro for iPhone and Apple Watch, hopes to solve these power issues stemming from an on-the-go lifestyle.
BatteryPro is housed in a casing which has dimensions close to that of an iPhone 7 in both height and weight. This may seem a little large for a mobile power pack, but ElevationLab claims that this makes it more comfortable to hold when using your iPhone. Within the device’s shell, you’ll find a multi-wall construction which “increases the durability of the charger”.
The power pack wasn’t just built with design in mind though, and incorporates equally as thoughtful features and functionality. Most importantly is that BatteryPro is MFi-certified, which means it’s up to Apple’s specifications and that you won’t have to worry about the charger harming your gadgets.
Compared to similar products, it sports an 8,000mAh battery, rather than a 6,700mAh one like in Belkin’s model. Elevation claims that BatteryPro ‘provides up to two weeks of Apple Watch charges, or roughy three days of typical iPhone use.’
That isn’t all though, BatteryPro has a few extra tricks up its sleeve. The integrated StowStrap secures your Apple Watch while charging, so you can power it up in your bag or purse without having to worry about it being disconnected. The strap also covers the screen, therefore protecting it from scratches. BatteryPro also can balance on its side to support the Watch’s nightstand mode when charging at night.
Ekevation’s BatteryPro can currently be pre-ordered from ElevationLab’s website for $99. However for a limited time, entering code POWERUP at checkout drops the price by 20% down to $79. As of now, it is expected to ship in three weeks.
