Sobro can currently be backed on Indiegogo for the early bird price of $499. While it has already met its funding goal, there are still two months to go before the campaign ends. If all goes well, Sobro is estimated to ship later this year in September.

The recently launched Siempo smartphone hopes to help combat a huge problem facing many of us, lacking focus and wasting time. Siempo makes it easy to either be fully connected or present by offering a ‘less distracting’ operating system and plenty of features so you can be mindful about your smartphone use.

The phone features a four-inch screen with 8GB of internal storage. Siempo handles everything your typical smartphone does like texting, playing music and weather, and also comes equipped with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and front and rear camera. To start, it will only support GSM phone networks like AT&T and T-Mobile.

Unlike most phones, Siempo lacks a traditional homescreen and instead uses a multi-purpose search box deemed the Intention Field. This is effectively the main portal to interacting with the device and allows you to find contacts, create reminders and even send messages. When you wake up, Siempo’s Mindful Morning feature can also replace your notifications with a series of meditation tasks, so you start the day out on a better note. Hardware-wise, Siempo has a dedicated button that allows you to temporarily disable notifications for a time length of your choice. Starting at $279, Siempo can currently be preordered over on Kickstarter. If all goes well with the campaign, the phone will be shipping later this year in December.

We’ve covered the intersection of technology and art before. From the Apple TV’s city flyover screensaver, to Soundwall’s Nova which pairs artwork with a wireless speaker. Alongside its new home entertainment lineup, Samsung announced The Frame, which pulls inspiration from both. The Frame isn’t just a typical TV though, it features an ‘Art Mode’ that complements your home decor, rather than being an eye-sore.

The TV itself features a thin bezel and lightweight design which allows it to hang virtually anywhere, giving it the function and appearance of a framed photo. Unlike conventional TVs which fade to black once your movie is over, The Frame displays one of hundreds of art pieces that range from depicting landscape, architecture, wildlife, and more. While there is still no pricing available for The Frame, it should be released sometime this spring.
