For the first time ever, TuneIn Radio Pro app for iOS is available as a free download. Typically priced between $5-$7, this app has amassed a 4.5 out of 5 star rating from over 65,000 App Store users.

It allows users to follow and listen to the “world’s largest collection” of music, news, sports, and talk radio stations. It boasts over 100,000 real radio stations and over 4 million podcasts from across the globe.

Normally, the price of the app makes it so TuneIn doesn’t have to display ads during your content, today’s deal brings the best of both worlds with no ads and no up front fee.

On top of the free DVR for audio-like recording service, last month’s update added some basic stability and UI fixes along with better suggestions and a newly organized profile tab.

How long was this supposedly free for? I tried to get it as soon as the article appeared but I got that same error message as everyone else did on the app store.

I’m not sure how long it was supposed to be live as this was not a publicized price drop. I can assure you that at the time of posting it was free (refer to screenshot in post). I do know that tons of our readers were able to get in on this deal. I’m sorry you had problems with it. Keep reading as we have great app deals everyday!

$3.99 is a very far cry from FREE

I found it in the store and it said Free but when I tried to download it said the item was being modified and to try again later. This kept happening for a half-hour or so and now I see that it’s $3.99!!

Same here – seems like they bumped the price back up.

It’s showing as $3.99 to me, not free.
