Amazon is once again offering the GoPro HERO Session Action Camera bundled with The Handler floating grip and a SanDisk 16GB microSD card for $179.99 shipped. This bundle was popular during Black Friday, but has largely been out of stock over the last six weeks. For comparison, it has a $250 value and the camera alone usually sells for $199 at other online retailers like B&HNote: it is slated to ship in the first week of February at this time.

The HERO Session is a great way to dive into the world of GoPro. It has a compact design, weighing in at just 2.6oz, and has a one-button operating system. You’ll be able to capture video at at up to 1440p and still images at 8MP. It has a built-in waterproof housing that is ready for dives up to 33-feet. The Handler floaty is perfect for capturing footage in water, while skiing or hanging in the pool. Of course, an extra 16GB microSD card will always come in handy. Rated 4.3/5 stars by over 400 Amazon reviewers.

Compact, waterproof, and weighing just 2.6 ounces, the HERO Session from GoPro is grab-and-go, cube-shaped action camera ideal for first-time GoPro users, or experienced shooters looking for a compact or secondary camera. Despite its size, the HERO Session is able to deliver 1080p video up to 60 fps, 720p video up to 100 fps, and 8MP stills in burst up to 10 fps. Keeping things simple, the camera uses a single button to power the camera on and start recording video, and is submersible to depths of 33′ without requiring a separate housing. Though simple to use, the HERO Session still offers plenty of customizable settings. Simply tether the camera with a Wi-Fi- or Bluetooth-enabled smart device or the separately available Smart Remote from GoPro to tap into setting likes Ultra Wide and Medium field of view (FOV), select a preferred video resolution and frame rate, enable one of the still photos modes, and more.
