Amazon Echo marked down to $150, Kindles from $60 for Mother’s Day

Amazon has kicked off a Mother’s Day sale that discounts some of its top devices, including Echo in both colors marked down to $149.99 shipped. Also at Best Buy. That’s $30 savings off the regular price and the best offer at Amazon this year. It’s a #1 best-seller and has collected a 4.4/5 star rating from over 54,000 reviewers. Amazon Echo does it all, including access to Alexa, special discounts, and full Bluetooth speaker functionality. I bought one last Christmas and can say it’s definitely a cool gadget to have around the have around the house. More details below.

Today’s sale also brings the usual Kindle discounts:

Amazon Echo is a hands-free speaker you control with your voice. Echo connects to the Alexa Voice Service to play music, provide information, news, sports scores, weather, and more—instantly. All you have to do is ask. Echo has seven microphones and beam forming technology so it can hear you from across the room—even while music is playing. Echo is also an expertly tuned speaker that can fill any room with 360° immersive sound. When you want to use Echo, just say the wake word “Alexa” and Echo responds instantly. If you have more than one Echo or Echo Dot, Alexa responds intelligently from the Echo you’re closest to with ESP (Echo Spatial Perception).
