OtterBox is well-known for its strong and protective cases for Apple’s expensive devices. Just in time for the release of the latest entry in the series, the company is lending its expertise to the Call of Duty brand on its latest crossover collaboration. The new Call of Duty Symmetry Series iPhone cases are now available for pre-order and will begin shipping late next month.
OtterBox has been around since the late 90’s in some capacity or other. Since then it has grown into one of the most trusted names when it comes to keeping your iPhone safe in rugged conditions. Anyone looking for serious protection against dust, water and drops, should certainly take a good look at what OtterBox has to offer.
Today the company is unveiling its latest collaboration with the Call of Duty brand to celebrate the release of iPhone 8 and COD: WWII early next month. The new Call of Duty StrongHold cases come in two different flavors with a synthetic rubber and polycarbonate shell. The Star model carries a dark, military green design with the COD decal plastered across it, and the Dust option has a sort-of burnt orange sunset aesthetic:
Don’t be fooled by the crossover branding though. These are essentially OtterBox’s Symmetry Series cases for both iPhone 7/Plus and 8/Plus with a fresh coat of paint.
While stil maintaining a “slim profile”, the new Symmetry COD cases feature something called a dual-material construction to protect against the elements, as well as a raised beveled edge to keep your screen safe against the dreaded front-facing drop. The case has the “OtterBox Certified Drop+ Protection seal” after undergoing more than 230+ hours of rigorous testing, according to the company. OtterBox says the one-piece design allows it to slip on and off your iPhone with ease.

The Symmetry Series Call of Duty cases are available now at Otterbox. The iPhone 7/8 model will run you $44.95 and the larger Plus options go for $54.95 shipped. They are currently available to pre-order but are listed with a “estimated” November 24th shipping date.
