It’s November and that means two things around here: huge deals and major game releases. After last month’s stellar lineup, things are starting to heat up even more. Super Mario Odyssey received basically perfect reviews at the tail end of last month, but now it’s time for the big boys with Call of Duty: WWII and Star War Battlefront 2. We are also seeing Rockstar’s L.A. Noire crime drama come to Switch alongside a host of other re-releases including DOOM and Skyrim.

All that and more in November’s best console game releases below:

Call of Duty: WWII PS4/Xbox One/PC – Nov. 3rd

It’s November and, among other things, that means this year’s Call of Duty is about to hit store shelves. Sledgehammer Games is taking it back to where it all began with the World War II setting. This will mark the first Call of Duty game Sledgehammer developed since Advanced Warfare back in 2014.

Along with usual fast-paced multi-player action, this time around the story will focus on Private Ronald “Red” Daniels of the the U.S. First Infantry Division. He will experience his very first taste of combat on D-Day before battling his way across Europe on the march to Germany via Hürtgen Forest and the Battle of the Bulge. You can see the campaign trailer in its entirety right here:

Pre-orders will net you the Multiplayer Upgrade which includes a Weapon Unlock Token and double XP.

Call of Duty: WWII $60 or $48 for Prime members

Sonic Force Switch/PS4/Xbox One – Nov. 7th

Sonic is making a return this month in Force. The game features three types of gameplay hoping to satisfy everyone: modern Sonic, classic platforming Sonic, and you’ll be able to “utilize powerful gadgets as your own custom hero character!” While there is certainly some skepticism in the air about this one, here’s to hoping our favorite hedgehog makes a triumphant return to glory in Sonic Force.

Eggman has taken over the world. It’s up to Sonic and the resistance to liberate it from his iron fists. But things won’t be so simple with Eggman’s new right-hand man, the mysterious Infinite. Get ready to take back the planet.

Sonic Force $40 or $32 for Prime members

L.A. Noire Switch/PS4/Xbox One – Nov. 14th

L.A. Noire is getting re-released this month on PS4 and Xbox with several enhancements including lightning, audio and much more. But this will mark the first time it will appear on a Nintendo console. That version has gyroscopic, gestural controls along with a series of updates to properly suit the Switch gaming environment. You can find more details in our launch coverage. And the Switch version will cost $10 more than PS4 and Xbox One.

L.A. Noire for Nintendo Switch and PS4/Xbox One does not appear to be up for pre-order just yet.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 PS4/Xbox One – Nov. 17th

Star Wars Battlefront is set for another take come the 17th. While the first game may have had its flaws, it looks as though EA has dealt with most of it at this point. There will be a full single player campaign this time around surrounding the fall of the second Death Star. Be sure to watch the campaign trailer above for more details.

Ignite the inferno and burn the Rebellion to the ground in Star Wars Battlefront 2’s single-player campaign. Take on the role of Commander Iden Versio in a story following the destruction of the Death Star II and the death of the Emperor.

You’ll definitely want to take a look at the new mirror-finish Star Wars Battlefront 2 PS4 Pro bundle. And as a side note, remember you can play Star Wars: KOTOR on your Xbox One starting October 24th.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 $60 or $48 for Prime members

Nintendo Switch is also getting some notable releases (and re-releases) this month on top of L.A Noire:

Doom $60 or $48 for Prime (Nov. 10th)

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim $60 or $48 for Prime (Nov. 17th)

Resident Evil Revelations $40 or $32 for Prime (Nov. 28th)

Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 $60 or $48 for Prime (Nov. 14th)

This month’s honorable mentions go to Need for Speed Payback which drops on November 10th and Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon on Nintendo 3DS come November 17th.
