The new God of War game for Playstation 4 released today with about as much anticipation as it could have asked for and we are already seeing an amazing day-one discount. After Sony dished out loads of early review copies, the game has garnered near perfect reviews scores from just about every major outlet. While Best Buy GCU members can still grab the game for 20% off, Newegg’s official eBay store is now offering it for just $1 more for everyone else. More details below.

God of War has been mostly sold out on Amazon, so not even Prime members had much of a chance to pre-order the game as of late. In fact, it is still currently sold out there. But if you’re quick, you can go jump over to eBay and grab a copy for $48.99 ($1 more than GCU and Prime pre-order pricing) no matter where your gaming retail allegiance may lay.

God of War:

His vengeance against the gods of Olympus far behind him, Kratos now lives as a man in the lands of Norse Gods and monsters. It is in this harsh, unforgiving world that he must fight to survive… and teach his son to do the same

As mentor and protector to a son determined to earn his respect, Kratos is faced with an unexpected opportunity to master the rage that has long defined him

Set within the untamed forests, mountains, and realms of Norse lore, God of War features a distinctly new setting with its own pantheon of creatures, monsters, and gods
