Amazon recently announced its Echo Dot for Kids lineup, and today BANDAI NAMCO released a PAC-MAN Stories Alexa skill. This new skill will enable families to enjoy a fun, interactive experience with Alexa about the world-renowned PAC-MAN.
This new skill is designed to help kids learn and grow using the unique styling of PAC-MAN. I grew up playing PAC-MAN, but only because my father worked for NAMCO for years. Many children today might recognize the name, but are unsure of what PAC-MAN really is and BANDAI NAMCO is counting on that.
PAC-MAN Stories, as the skill is called, is the first project announced from BANDAI NAMCO’s Entertainment Europe Innovation Department, who’s goal is to develop new areas of entertainment for the company.
PAC-MAN Stories will be available for all Alexa-enabled devices, including the recently released Echo Dot for Kids. There are several fully interactive stories for the entire family to enjoy, as any age will be able to engage with Alexa and make decisions that affect the story’s ending.
The first story to hit Alexa will be PAC-MAN and the Ghastly Garbage, which will be a fun adventure where you help save the PAC-MAN planet from garbage. While taking part in this story, you’ll make decisions, choose paths, and even win the iconic Power Pellets depending on what choices you make.
Not only will PAC-MAN be coming along for the ride, but a slew of new characters along with well-known staples to the franchise such as Inky, Blinky, Pinky, and Clyde.
This skill is available in English only on all Alexa-enabled devices in the USA and is ready for use starting today. If you don’t have an Echo yet, be sure to pick one up, whether it’s a full-sized Echo 2nd Generation for the family or an Echo Dot for Kids, Amazon has every area covered.
