When Apple’s AirPods originally debuted, the possibility of losing one or both of the wireless earbuds was a major concern. Apple later added a Find My AirPods feature that helps you locate lost earbuds by playing a loud sound from the speaker, but that’s not as useful when your AirPods are lost in their charging case.
Twelve South wants to make keeping up with your AirPods and charging case easier with its new AirSnap carrying case. AirSnap is a $29 leather pouch that protects your charging case and clips to your backpack or bag so your AirPods don’t go missing in action.
AirSnap is designed specifically to hold the AirPods charging case without needing to remove it to actually use your AirPods.
The leather case snaps closed to keep your charging case from getting lost when you’re on-the-go, or you can pop the cover open to easily access your AirPods in the charging case when you’re ready to use them. AirSnap also leaves the Lightning port on the bottom of the charging case open so you can easily charge your AirPods charging case without removing AirSnap.
The metal carabiner style clip ensures a strong hold on bags and purses when attached, and the clip includes a swivel feature to prevent AirSnap from getting twisted and snapping off.
Twelve South wants AirSnap to be both protective and attractive so its leather is the same material used to craft their RelaxedLeather iPhone cases. You can choose between three leather finishes for AirSnap too: Black, Deep Teal, and Cognac. Each color is paired with a black clip and matching black snap.
AirSnap is available to order starting today for $29.99 on Twelve South’s website or on Amazon in the US, UK, Germany, France, Spain, and Italy. AirSnap joins cheaper solutions like silicone skins that attach to clips as well, but AirSnap will be your go-to solution if you’re looking for Twelve South’s quality leather and attention to detail.
AirSnap is also Twelve South’s second AirPods-specific accessory to hit the market following AirFly (reviewed), the Bluetooth adapter that lets you use AirPods with headphone jack-only audio sources like in-flight entertainment systems, workout machines, and portable gaming consoles.
