Alienware m15 Display Configurations
The Alienware m15 comes in three different models: 1080p 60Hz display, 1080p 144Hz display, and 4K 60Hz. The 60Hz panels are IPS, while the 144Hz is TN (if that makes a difference to you). For content creators, you’ll want to go the 4K route for sure as it has ~100% sRGB reproduction while the other models don’t sport this feature.
Alienware m15 Processor Configurations
The i5-8300H is a 4/8 processor and will be the base model for this laptop. You can choose to upgrade to the i7-8750H and get all 6 cores and 12 threads of processing power, should you be a content creator or just want the best overall performance. Both models come with Intel’s UHD 620 Graphics, and either the GTX 1060 6GB or GTX 1080 8GB dedicated graphics card, depending on your configuration.
Alienware m15 RAM & Storage Configurations
RAM wise you can get it in 8GB, 16GB, or up to 32GB depending on your use case. This is great for content creators as programs like Premiere Pro or After Effects can really chew up your memory while rendering out projects.
Storage wise, you can get it in several configurations, but to keep it simple we’ll break it down into three main categories. You can get it with a 256GB SSD only, 1TB HDD only, or a mixture of SSD + HDD for speed & mass storage.
Alienware m15 Port Selection
Port wise, there’s a single Thunderbolt 3 port, three USB 3.1 Type A ports, a Mini DisplayPort, and HDMI for connecting to external monitors. There’s also microphone ports, the Alienware Graphics Amplifier port, and more.
To keep this device going, Alienware ships it with a 60Wh battery, though you can configure that up to 90Wh for longer spans between charging sessions.

With a starting price of $1,299 and going up from there, this laptop could become one of the go to’s in the mid-range gaming laptop space.
