Apple’s new iPad Pro already discounted by $50 for students

Apple took to the stage in Brooklyn on Tuesday to unveil a host of new devices, including the latest iPad Pros. Students can already save $50 off at the Apple Store, bringing prices down to $749 for the 11-inch model and $949 on the larger 12.9-inch. This is the first discount that we’ve seen and likely the only price drop we’ll get until Black Friday. You can count on Thanksgiving week gift card offers and maybe $100 off. But otherwise, this is expected to be the best price until then. Apple’s student discounts are slightly better on the iPad Pro this year than previous releases, with $50 off instead of $20, but of course the prices have gone up significantly as well. Don’t forget to check out pre-orders at B&H, where potential tax savings may also be worthwhile.

The latest iPad Pro models sport a brand new design, updated Apple Pencil capabilities FaceID and USB-C connectivity. As Ben Lovejoy has noted, there are already plenty of reasons to be considering the newest iPad models.

With your savings, consider picking up a few extra USB-C cables to complete your new setup.

The new Liquid Retina display goes from edge to edge. True-to-life color and ProMotion technology make everything look gorgeous and feel responsive. Face ID comes to iPad. It’s engineered for secure unlocking and works seamlessly whether you hold it in portrait or landscape.
