Newegg is kicking off a busy month with its Black November Sale, which features markdowns on core components, peripherals, software, and much more. Most items qualify for free shipping, although there are ways you can upgrade to free 2-day shipping. Today is just phase one of what will be a month-long sale, as this particular promotion comes to a close on November 7. We’ll certainly be seeing more discounts from Newegg in the lead up to its proper Black Friday sale. Head after the jump for some of this sale’s most notable deals.

If you need a quick and easy way to upgrade your laptop, the Team Group L5 LITE 3D 2.5-inch 120GB SATA III 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive is on sale for the in-cart price of $20 shipped. Fetching at least $30 from the likes of Newegg’s eBay store and Amazon third-parties, this is one of the lowest-cost 120GB SSDs we’ve ever seen. It features up to 470 MBps read speeds and up to 300 MBps write speeds. Over 100 Newegg customers have rated it 4/5 “eggs.”
