Get the ecobee 3 HomeKit-enabled thermostat + three room sensors for $179 ($240 value)

$179

Home Depot is offering the ecobee 3 Smart Thermostat with three Room Sensors for $179 shipped. Though the ecobee 3 is no longer sold directly from Amazon (and has been replaced by the ecobee 3 Lite and ecobee 4), the lowest it ever went for there was $169 with just one sensor. The two additional sensors add around $70 in value, and this is one of the best prices we’ve tracked. The room sensors are great if your thermostat is located in a loft or hallway that’s never the same temperature as your bedrooms, as they report the climate back to the main thermostat. Plus, ecobee is HomeKit-enabled, meaning you can have Siri control your temperature. Rated 4.2/5 stars.

Don’t forget, we have the ecobee 3 Lite Smart Thermostat down to $132 shipped right now. And if you want Alexa built-in, there’s always the upgraded ecobee 4 Smart Thermostat at $189 shipped.

For the more budget-minded, check out the Emerson Sensi Wi-Fi Thermostat at $77 shipped. Though it lacks HomeKit support, it’s a more budget-friendly way to get smartphone (or Alexa) temperature control.

ecobee 3 Thermostat Features:

  • Works with Amazon Alexa for voice control (Alexa device sold separately)
  • Smart, really smart – intuitively understands when to turn on your heating or cooling equipment based on your home’s unique energy profile, the weather outside, and thousands of other data points to make sure you’re comfortable at all times
  • Knows you have a life – senses whether anyone’s home and which rooms are occupied, delivering comfort when you’re at home and saving you energy and money when you’re not
  • Lowers your energy bills – ecobee saves homeowners an average of 23%* annually, paying for itself in energy savings (*Learn more at ecobee.com/savings)
  • Homekit-enabled Ecobee3 – the world’s first homekit-enabled smart thermostat – is an evolution of our previous Ecobee3 smarter wi-fi thermostat.
