Some Dads just want tools, polos, and grilling gear. Some don’t want anything and just to be surrounded by loved ones on their big day. And some want tech! We will have a string of upcoming gift idea features coming your way, but first let’s tackle some ideas for the techie iPhone and Apple gear Dads out there. Be it accessories for iPhone, a new ultra-affordable iPad for a super lucky Dad, or a new leather Apple Watch to up their wrist game, we have some of our favorite options waiting down below that we know, love, and use ourselves. Dive into our Father’s Day tech gift ideas for Apple Dads below.
Nomad Find My card tracker – Dad will never lose a wallet again
Not all Father’s Day gifts need to be elaborate and expensive that’s for sure – it’s the thought that counts right? Well maybe thinking about ways to ensure Dad never loses a wallet again is a smart idea. Nomad, one of our favorite Apple-centric accessory makers, just unveiled its new Find My wallet card tracker for $39.99, and it’s a good one.
This credit-card sized tracker is equipped with Apple Find My tech – you just slide it in your wallet (or anything else really) and you’ll always know where it is. It even offers up real-time leave-behind notifications so you can proactively lock-down your most precious piece of EDC before things really get bad.
Best of all, setup is as simple as it gets and it charges wirelessly. There’s about 5 months of battery life at a time anyway, but this isn’t one of those trackers you just throw out when the battery dies – just drop it on the Qi pad or MagSafe charger you already have to juice it back up. Get a closer look at the details in our hands-on impressions feature.
AirTags and Elevation Lab waterproof/magnetic mounts
And while we are talking about keeping Dad organized, Apple AirTags might be a great bet – affordable, techie, and it’s hard to have too many of them. You can land them at $25 a pop right now, or even less with 4-packs.
Whether you grab Dad some new Apple trackers or there’s already some in the kit, Elevation Lab makes some of the best mounts and cases for them anywhere. Rugged, waterproof, and with plenty of options, whether you’re looking or something with an adhesive capability, or something to stick inside of a bag, or a magnetic solution for cars and outdoor gear, Elevation Lab has it all, they are all quite affordable, and they make for a great gift idea.
- TagVault AirTag Wallet Holder $10 (Reg. $13)
- TagVault AirTag Magnetic Case from $17 (Reg. $18+)
- TagVault Fabric Mount from $13 (Reg. $14+)

Burton Goods leather Apple Watch bands
Is Dad already an Apple Watch user? One simple way to upgrade their wrist game or even just refresh a tired band is with a new one, and nothing says upgrade like a real piece of handmade leather. Burton Goods makes my personal favorite leather Apple Watch bands, complete with classic, timeless stylings, a few color options to match Dad’s vibe, and a build that will almost surely out last the Apple Watch (and likely still work on the new one). A leather Apple Watch band might be the best Father’s Day gift idea I can think of for Apple Watch users, and this is one of the best out there.

SANDMARC’s gorgeous leather iPhone cases
Continuing the leather tech accessory trend here, what about a nice leather iPhone case? They are in many cases just as rugged as the plastic and silicone model Dad might already be using, and they certainly takes things up a notch in terms of looks. SANDMARC’s latest minimalist leather models are fantastic, one of my favorites out there, and come loaded with all of the fixings – metal button covers, soft interiors, camera protection, and more.

An affordable iPad for the luckiest Dad in the world!?
Okay so, of course Dad would love a new M2 iPad Air or an M4 iPad Pro, who wouldn’t? But perhaps that’s a bit lofty a price tag for Father’s Day for some. Or perhaps Dad just doesn’t care about the latest and greatest. This is where some of the more affordable options in the lineup come into play.
No one is saying a $330 iPad 10th Gen is cheap by any means, but for a current-generation Apple tablet, that’s a steal if you ask me (it’s a steal at the full $349 in my opinion). But if Dad really doesn’t care about what’s new (or would even know if it is or not like mine), the iPad 9th Generation can be yours right now via the official Amazon listing at $249 shipped. No it’s not the latest and greatest, but it will still get updates for another few years and the price is certainly right.
