Amazon is offering the LEGO Ideas Fender Stratocaster Building Set for $95.99 shipped. Down from its usual $120 price tag, this popular build set has seen little attention by way of price cuts since the new year began. In February it fell to $96 and held out at this price for most of the month before jumping back to its MSRP and only hitting as low as $116 during the time since. Today’s deal is coming in as an overdue 20% markdown that is returning costs to its Amazon all-time low – just $7 above the overall low from Black Friday sales.
Utilizing 1,074 pieces, this LEGO Ideas build set delivers one of the most iconic rock and roll instruments complete with the accessories you’d expect to see with any guitar – model or real. The Stratocaster itself comes in a slick, bright red color scheme with a white pickguard and grey accents for the tuners, strings, whammy bar, etc. in order to mimic the metal elements on the real thing. You’ll also get included replacement bricks to customize or entirely swap out the red for an all-black body, if that’s more your style. To go along with the instrument, there’s also a stand to prop up and display your build, as well as an amp that sports more design detail than the guitar – especially when you open it up to find a motherboard, reverb tank, and the internal speaker system. All of this is rounded out with a classic-looking guitar strap that clicks right on to complete the look.
