Noctua has finally taken the wraps off its highly-anticipated NH-D15 G2 CPU cooler. Now up for purchase on Amazon, the NH-D15 G2 is company’s flagship CPU cooler that improves upon the iconic NH-D15. Noctua has also released the new NF-A14x25r G2 round-frame 140mm fans to go with the new flagship cooler, though they’re yet to go live on the Amazon links we’re tracking.

Noctua NH-D15 G2 is said to offer improved performance and better compatibility than its predecessor

With the combination of the new NF-A14x25r G2 PWM fans, eight heatpipes and asymmetrical fin-stacks, the Noctua NH-D15 G2 is said to deliver a better cooling performance overall compared to its predecessor, the regular NH-D15 model. It remains to be seen just how capable this new cooler is, but it’s expected to be on-par with — if not better than — the NH-D15 that we’ve come to know and love.

Noctua has also improved the compatibility of the NH-D15 G2 cooler, allowing it to clear the top PCIe x16 slot on most current motherboards. The new model has also been upgraded to to the Torx-based SecuFirm2+ multi-socket mounting system, and it’ll also come with an NM-SD1 screwdriver and the company’s NT-H2 thermal compound.

The Noctua NH-D15 G2 cooler is available in a regular, standard version and two specialised variants. The regular NH-D15 G2 uses the same medium base convexity as most other Noctua heatsinks, making it an ideal choice for most users as it’ll provide optimal results on AM5 with the included offset mounting and on LGA1700 CPUs when utilising the included NM-ISW1 shim washers. That said, you can also buy the HBC (High Base Convexity) and the LBC (Low Base Convexity) variants, that are specifically optimized for LGA1700 and other flat CPU’s like AMD’s AM5, respectively.

You can grab the Noctua NH-D15 G2 CPU cooler right now for your PC for $150 shipped.
