We said the new Nothing Ear and Ear (a) buds build on “what was already one of the best series of earbuds in recent memory” with a few key improvements at the helm.
Firstly, you’ll find noise cancellation on both sets now – the higher-end Nothing Ear features Smart Noise Cancelling that delivers up to 45dB active noise cancellation that’s “1.8x stronger than Ear (2).” The more premium set also includes support for 24 bit/96 kHz with LDAC via compatible sources alongside 40.5 hours of battery life with the charging case – “Fast Charge for 10 minutes for 10 hours of playback (with ANC turned off).”
One of the more interesting aspects of the latest Nothing earbuds, outside off the frankly gorgeous retro-modern design in my opinion, is the ChatGPT integration. Made possible by a connection with the Nothing X app on a Nothing smartphone, users can simply use their voice to access the AI assistant – “Ask, listen and learn from ChatGPT on-the-go. A first-of-its-kind integration, made for your Nothing ecosystem.”
