Update: Prime Day pricing on the Nothing Ear (a) has now returned on the black set at $77, but you’ll also find the yellow set now dropping to one of its lowest prices at $79 shipped as well. Details below in the original post.
Amazon now has the Nothing Ear (a) Wireless Earbuds in black on sale for $77 shipped by way of trusted seller Essential-Tech with Amazon fulfillment. Regularly $99, deals on the 2024 Nothing Ear (a) have been relatively hard to come by since they hit the scene back in April. We have seen a couple price drops to $79, but the fall Prime Day event is ushering in the lowest price we have tracked yet.
These super interesting earbuds have that special Nothing vibe around every corner, with the transparent stem design and that sort of cassette era-like retro vibe. I’m a big fan of the look of these things and we said they “build on what were already some of the best series of earbuds” in recent memory with a few marked improvements.
The Ear (a) houses an 2mm driver with “double the power” of the previous set as well as “deeper bass performance” and the brand’s smart active noise cancellation – it “automatically checks for noise leakage between the earbud and your ear canal, then applies more noise cancellation to make up for it.”
There’s also voice isolation tech to help with call clarity alongside and extra airway in the stem for wind passthrough joined by up to 10 hours of battery life that jumps up to 42.5 when you factor in the included charging case.
The ChatGPT functionality for Nothing handset owners is also an interesting addition, allowing users to “ask, listen, and learn” from ChatGPT on-the-go – “a first-of-its-kind integration, made for your Nothing ecosystem. Use your voice to access ChatGPT on Ear and Ear (a), wherever you are.”
And be sure to scope out the new Nothing Ear (open) that just dropped.
Nothing Ear (a) Wireless Earbuds feature:
- Powerful 11 mm driver: We’ve made our driver even more compact. With double the power than Ear (2), Ear (a) delivers an even deeper bass performance. The extra space gives sound waves more room to vibrate. With two new vents, airflow is improved inside the bud. For less distortion and richer overall clarity
- Smart Active Noise Cancellation: Up to 45 dB,Nothing Ear (a) automatically checks for noise leakage between the earbud and your ear canal, then applies more noise cancellation to make up for it. So you receive the best possible noise cancellation. Happens every time you put them in. So you can go from quiet rooms to busy streets without hearing a thing (other than what’s playing)
- Clear Voice Technology: Clear as day. Ear (a) isolates your voice from everyday distractions so calls on-the-go feel like face-to-face conversations. With a new talk mic and extra airway on the stem for wind to pass through, we’ve reduced interference by 60% compared to Ear (2)
