As you might have already seen, Best Buy and Target are already offering FREE $15 credits with the purchase of $100 Apple gift cards as part of their respite Black Friday sale events. We assumed/hoped this would also carry over to Amazon ahead of Thanksgiving this year, and while that doesn’t appear as though it will happen, reports suggest the Amazon Apple gift card promotion is indeed on the way this week.

Apple gift cards tend to be a lot less valuable for 9to5 readers than most considering you’re going to pay a whole lot more buying just about anything directly from Apple than you will catching the deals we feature on its most sought-after gear on a regular basis, no matter how good the deal on the gift card might be.
That said, Apple gift cards are far more versatile than you might think. You can use them for a whole lot more than just iPads, MacBooks, and AirPods. And that, at least for some, is where the value is here.
You can, of course, use an Apple gift card at all physical Apple store locations as well as the Apple Store app on any of the hardware it sells. But the real value here is on Apple services. You can use them towards apps and your Apple subscriptions of all sorts, including Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple News+, Apple Books, Apple Arcade, iCloud+, Fitness+, Apple One, and more.
You will definitely pay more buying any Apple hardware straight from Apple than you will with our links – like hundreds of dollars more – but we almost never catch deals on Apple Music and the rest of the services and subscriptions mentioned above. And if you use any of the services, you’ll certainly appreciate scoring some FREE Target, Best Buy, and soon Amazon credit in exchange for footing the bill here – the Apple gift card itself isn’t discounted, but you might as well as score some FREE store credit just for paying your subscription bill.

Reports suggest, based on emails sent out by Apple anyway, that Amazon will be offering a FREE $15 credit with the purchase of $100 Apple gift cards starting on Friday November 29, 2024 – the same deal you can score right now with a FREE $15 Best Buy or $15 Target credit.
While we don’t know the precise details at this time, historically speaking this deal was available on both physical and digital Apple might cards sold at Amazon with a limit of 1 per account on each. This deal also includes a small caveat that the $15 Amazon credit can only be used during a certain period (typically after Cyber Monday and before the upcoming Christmas holiday). We aren’t 100% sure on any of this just yet, but if you are already paying Apple monthly/yearly for services, you might as well as score some FREE Amazon credit while you’re at it.
