Intel has introduced a new lineup of B-series gaming graphics cards that will replace the older A-series models. The company just took the wraps off its new Arc B580 and Arc B570, both of which are based on the same Xe2 ‘Battlemage’ GPU architecture you’ll find in Intel’s Lunar Lake laptop chips. The brand’s new Arc B580 GPU carries a $249 price tag and it starts shipping on December 13, whereas the Arc 570 model is priced at $219 and will ship starting early next year on January 16. Intel is positioning its new GPUs in the B-series as “best-in-class performance per Dollar” options, and they’ll take advantage of the brand’s graphics technologies like Xe Super Sampling 2 (XeSS2) and XMX AI acceleration to deliver reliable performance gaming and other GPU-related workloads. Both of these graphics cards are targeted at 1440p gaming, and they’re powered by the new Xe2 architecture with higher efficiency.
As far as the specifications are concerned, you are looking at up to 12GB of dedicated video memory and up to 190W of power, along with up to 20 Xe cores and 2.6GHz clock speeds. Below is a complete look at the specifications of these new graphics cards.
According to Intel, its new GPUs deliver a big performance improvement compared to other options on the market in this price range. Its new Arc B580 GPU, for instance, is said to be up to 24% faster on average than the older Arc A750 GPU for 1440p gaming. The same GPU is also said to be up to 10% faster than NVIDIA’s competing RTX 4060 graphics card. These are some promising claims, but it remains to be seen how these translate to real-world usage.
Intel will sell its own Arc B580 Limited Edition graphics card with two fans and an 8-pin power connector, but you’ll also find plenty of partner cards with custom designs from Acer, ASRock, Maxsun, and more. The new GPUs, as previously mentioned, will start rolling out starting December 13 when the Arc B850 hits the shelf for $249.
