Flexispot standing desk

I recently had the opportunity to test out the P7 Plus Standing Desk from Flexispot. I have been working from a stranding desk setup for years now and prefer it, so I was excited for the opportunity to set up my new office with a shiny new desk and see what Flexispot brings in terms of function and utility. As one of Fleixspot’s top-tier standing desks currently offered, the P7 Plus is rock solid and versatile, with a few added bonuses I haven’t had in the past. I just had some trouble putting it all together and have shared my thoughts below.

Flexispot is a furniture provider that utilizes technology to reinvent how we operate during our work lives by providing customers with kinetic products that are as seamless, sturdy, and eco-conscious as they are pretty and comfortable. My first exposure to the company was a review of one of its desk chairs, which I am currently sitting in and still enjoying.

In addition to desk chairs, Flexispot designs and sells several other intuitive products, including walking pads, recliners, beds, and even saunas. It has delivered its products, assembled using 100% recyclable materials, to 10 million customers worldwide.

Flexispot’s current portfolio also includes an impressive lineup of standing desks to fit any budget, complete with several colors and desktop materials. To continue revamping my workspace at home, Flexispot sent me a P7 Plus desk to pair with my chair and test out. Here’s how it went.

Assembly of the of P7 Plus Standing Desk was my only hurdle

Having recently assembled a chair from Flexispot, which was a seamless process, I was quite confident going into the assembly of the P7 Plus, but I faced a few hiccups. To begin, the components (seen above) were safely packed and clearly marked.

I initially cruised through and quickly assembled the legs of the Flexixspot standing desk together and connected the motors. However, when it came time to attach the desktop, things got confusing. I found the instructions rather vague in certain sections, and I had to contact the company for direction on how to actually screw the base into the desktop since none of the predrilled holes matched up.

Turns out, you’re supposed to align the base yourself and screw it straight into the desktop without any pre-drilled holes to match up with, but there was no mention of that in the manual. I eyeballed it and thought I did a nice job if I do say so myself. My next snag came when installing the control panel. The instructions called for two “H” screws, which were not included. I was especially confused because all the other hardware I had installed had been named numerically, not alphabetically.

I had some spare screws around the house that worked perfectly, and I got the control panel secured and ready to test out. The Flexispot E7 Plus standing desk booted up like a charm and worked perfectly, but the assembly process took longer than anticipated. However, once I got it working, it was worth the wait.

The E7 Plus is stable and versatile for a number of uses

My first impression of the E7 Plus is how sturdy it is thanks to its four legs. There is zero wobble, and it’s easy to tell it can hold 540 pounds safely. I opted for the environmentally-friendly dark bamboo desktop, which matches my office and brings an extra layer of quality to the desk’s overall look, in my opinion. For each of its standing desks, Flexispot offers several desktop sizes. I opted for the second-smallest 55″ x 28″ top, which offers me plenty of workspace without taking up too much of my office.

The premium keypad control panel features an LED touchscreen with a digital height display (in inches) as well as 4 preset buttons for customized heights – perfect for homes where more than one person is using the desk. For any movements in between, there are up and down arrows for minute adjustments to ensure you get your ideal height just right and comfortable.

As I mentioned, I have been working at standing desks for years, but I’ve never had one with such a considerable height variation at the Flexispot E7 Plus. The desk can be brought down as low as 26″ off the ground and rise as high as 62.6″. That top height enables me to easily store my chair below the desk and offers more space throughout the rest of my office, perfect for when I pull my nearby couch out into a bed for guests staying over.

Flexispot’s standing desk also features a child lock to prevent little ones running around from messing with it or hurting themselves. One feature I was impressed with was the USB charging port on the side of the display. I could plug my phone into it, maintain a charge, and keep it handy near my right hand while standing or sitting.

Save big on the Flexispot E7 Plus Standing Desk Now

Overall, the E7 Plus is a premium-level standing desk that would be an excellent workspace for remote employees like myself. Its quality and stability are beyond what I personally need, but I welcome those perks because they help elevate the overall look of my office area.

I love its height versatility, allowing me to sit low in a chair, stand and type, or go all the way up to utilize overall room space. My only issue was the vague assembly instructions, but I powered through the process without damaging the desk; just my patience. Overall, it came together and worked perfectly for me.

Regardless of which desktop size or material you choose for your E7 Plus Standing Desk, Flexispot is offering savings on all options. For example, the configuration I tested is currently $250 off, on sale for $740.
