Time is winding down to secure everything you need for your work from home setup and still write it all off against your 2024 return. With so many folks permanently transitioned to a WFH situation of some kind or other, be it everyday or just some of the time, even more of the gear you need to make this happen is tax deductible and you only have five days left.

In some case it might not make much sense to grab a bunch of stuff you don’t really need/want just to write it off, but if there are some upgrades you’re work from home setup could use, it might be a good idea to score it now over the next five days so you can deduct it all on your 2024 return.

There is some, let’s call it, gray area here for what is technically considered a write-off – it’s going to vary a bit depending on what you do, what you have going on, the type of work from home setup you might be running, or even the particularly gig you have outside of the house.

But in many cases, anyone running a home office of some kind for workstation can likely write-off computers, smartphones, and tablets, accessories for them all, office supplies, chairs, a whole range of tech that enables you to get some work done, and we are here to both give folks some ideas and save you some cash (with write-offs and straight up deals). Even those who need some upgrades for the vehicle they are using for work might find some suggestions and options here today, not to mention those who have a gig that allows them to write-off clothing and footwear.
