LG is getting an early jump on CES proceedings by announcing its new lineup of UltraGear gaming monitors. The brand’s 2025 gaming monitor series is led by the UltraGear OLED Bendable Gaming Monitor, which is said to be the “world’s first 5K2K-resolution bendable OLED display.” LG has yet to officially announce the pricing and availability details of this new gaming display, but you can learn more about it below.
LG’s first bendable OLED gaming monitor is here
The LG UltraGear 45GX990A is the brand’s new Bendable OLED gaming monitor that sports a 45-inch panel with a resolution of 5120 x 2160 pixels, making it one of the biggest gaming displays out there that can deliver crisp visuals be it for gaming or consuming other forms of media. It has 21:9 aspect ratio which is known to deliver a more immersive experience than standard 16:9 models, but the highlight here is the bendable nature of the unit.
The UltraGear 45GX990A can transition from completely flat to a 900R curvature, and it even supports the brand’s Dual-Mode feature that allows you to easily switch between resolution and refresh rate presets. LG hasn’t announced the maximum refresh rate, but we know that it’s certified for NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, and it’s rated to have 0.03ms (GtG) response time. Some other highlights here include support for DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1, and USB-C with 90W power delivery.
In addition to the bendable OLED monitor, LG has also announced a non-bendable model with a 800R curvature display. The rest of its specs are same as the 45GX990A highlighted above, meaning it has a 45-inch panel with 0.03ms response time, NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync support, and more. Notably, the brand also announced curved UltraGear 39GX90SA, which is its webOS-powered “home entertainment hub” that gives you quick and easy access to various streaming services. This sounds like a direct competitor of Samsung’s Smart Monitors in its M-series, and it’s said to have a 39-inch curved panel with USB-C ports, its space-saving L-shaped stand for a clutter-free desk setup, and more.
All these newly announced LG monitors will be showcased at CES, and we hope to learn more about them soon. Don’t expect LG’s new bendable monitor to be on the affordable side, though, as these panels tend to get a bit pricey. Just to put things into perspective, Corsair’s similarly-specced Xeneon Flex 45-inch OLED Bendable QHD display is currently going for $2,000 at Best Buy.
