While we have seen the XM4 in just about all colorways at this price across the holiday deal season, they were overshadowed in some ways by the newer set. Those who don’t need the latest and greatest are landing a very similar over-ear listening and active noice cancelling experience here for a whole lot less. While we did see an extremely short-lived offer for them down at $130, that only lasted for a few hours at best – today’s deal is the second-best price we have tracked on Amazon.
Sony’s beloved XM4 set remains a compelling option, complete with some of the best active noise cancellation out there alongside dual pairing tech on iOS and Android devices, and the same speak-to-chat feature we see on the XM5 set – it automatically lowers volume of playback when you start speaking. The same 30 hours of wireless playback with a slightly less capable quick charge than the XM5s is also in place – a 10-minute charge nets you an extra 5 hours here.
