Brisk It introduces the $399 Zelos 450 electric wood pellet grill and smoker with generative AI at CES 2025

As time goes on, we’re seeing AI systems grow in intelligence and functionality, which is being extended into all manners of tech for more advanced support. At CES 2025, barbecue tech startup Brisk It is unveiling its latest entry into the smart home market with the Zelos 450 Electric Wood Pellet Grill and Smoker. This new model utilizes generative AI to automate cooking and create personalized recipes, but at a starting price that won’t break the bank.

Brisk It introduces affordable smart grilling solution for easy eats

Brisk It’s new Zelos 450 model has been cited to launch with a $399 price tag down the road, which makes this a highly-affordable grilling and smoking solution right out of the gate. For comparisons, the cheapest smart model from Traeger starts off at $800, with discounts usually only taking things as low as $599, and that’s without the generative AI features.

And sure, there will be plenty of purists who don’t want AI involved in their cooking, but for those who are thankful for the added smart support, Brisk It boasts that its Vera AI will “monitor, control, and automate the cook for you” – all at the push of a button through its companion app. This system will also take charge by sending you notifications on how everything is progressing, with added reminders for interval duties like wrapping or spritzing ribs, among others. If you happen to miss or ignore these notifications, the AI will automatically switch to adjusting temperatures to prevent your food from ending up inedible.

The upgraded Vera 2.0 AI that has been installed into the Zelos 450 even include features like smart image recognition, which will use photos of your ingredients to create recipes, as well as recipe re-creation, which can take existing recipes and translate them into versions that the grill will be able to automate.

It sports a sizeable cooking space of 450 square-inches, with Wi-Fi connectivity that allows the adjustment of settings and monitoring of food at a distance through the mobile app. It provides a temperature range of 180 degrees to 500 degrees Fahrenheit, ensuring the utmost versatility for low-and-slow cooks and high-heat sears alike.

While we do not have any specific information about its release beyond the $399 price, Brisk It has stated that it will become available to purchase sometime in Q1 2025 through Amazon, The Home Depot, Lowe’s, Walmart, and its direct webstore.
