Apple’s 16-inch M4 Pro MacBook Pro with 48GB of RAM just dropped again to a new $2,591 low ($308 off)

Update: Amazon has dropped the price on the 16-inch M4 Pro MacBook Pro 48GB/512GB once again, now starting down at a $2,591 shipped all-time low – that’s $308 off the regular price.

While we are still tracking a solid $200 price drop on the most affordable entry-level M4 MacBook Pro with 16GB of RAM, Amazon has now brought back all-time low for the first time on an elevated 16-inch configuration. You’ll now find the 16-inch M4 Pro MacBook Pro with 48GB of RAM and the 512GB SSD on sale for $2,599 shipped. This is a $2,899 configuration seeing a $300 price drop at Amazon to mark the return of all-time low pricing. 

This model, alongside the rest of the new M4 MacBook lineup landed last fall at $2,899. It then dropped to the same $2,599 we are seeing here today for Black Friday before jumping back up to finish off 2024. We did see it quickly creep back down in mid-January 2025, but early this morning it fell to the lowest price we have tracked on this configuration to date on Amazon. 

Again we are still seeing the entry level 16GB M4 MacBook Pro down at $1,399 while the 14-inch M4 Pro with the 24GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD is currently selling for $1,789, down from the regular $1,999 on Amazon. Both notable options, but if you’re looking for some serious horsepower and the expanded screen real-estate, today’s featured deal is worth a look. 

Not only are you getting the larger Liquid Retina XDR Display, but we are also talking about double the RAM power than the base M4 Pro, or triple that of the aforementioned M4 model (not to mention the less powerful chip). Those other options are still solid ones, but if you need the extra juice, there’s a whole lot more of it in this 48GB model. It can be a wonderful option for creatives, but it can also be a more future-proof investment if you plan on holding on to it for a few years or more.
