ESR’s ‘world’s first’ magnetically attachable MagMouse snaps to MacBooks and iPads and has built-in USB-C cable [Early bird deals]

ESR is debuting a new mouse today that can magnetically attach to laptops and tablets. Called MagMouse, it’s a wireless mouse that snaps on to laptops and tablets with the help of a reusable magnetic base. It’s designed to make your live easier by making it convenient to grab and go between meetings, classrooms, workspaces, and more. There are and have been other magnetic models out there, as well as mice with integrated cables, but according to ESR this is the “world’s first” to add the snap-and-go convenience. This particular mouse is now live on Kickstarter and early backers can score a unit for just $24, which is 32% less than its $36 listed price. Head below for more details.

The ESR MagMouse comes in black, white, and gray colors, all of which ship with a color-matched magnetic base that sticks to your device with the help of adhesive. This included base features two “precisely aligned magnetic pins” that snap securely into place when brought together. The dual-locking system in use here, according to the brand, keeps the MagMouse firmly attached to the device you’re using it with. The fact that this mouse can snap on to your laptop or tablet solves a very specific problem and is good if you constantly move between meetings, classrooms, or even workspaces.

Another highlight of this mouse is that it comes with a built-in USB-C, which you can use to quickly power it. It’s a short cable that neatly sits flush at the back when not in use, and it saves you the hassle of looking for cables or replacing batteries. The ESR MagMouse works with a variety of devices, and it seamlessly connects to almost any Windows laptops, MacBooks, Android tablets, and even iPads. It comes with a 2.4GHz dongle and you can even use Bluetooth to pair it. Other highlights of this mouse include silent buttons that make less noise while using them, and you can also switch between six DPI levels up to 4800.

The MagMouse, as previously mentioned, is now up at Kickstarter and early adopters can secure a unit for $24.
