First up, let’s talk about how the UGREEN FineTrack Slim works with Apple’s Find My. Honestly, it’s been flawless during the time I’ve been testing this card. It connects to the Find My app on your iPhone just like the FineTrack item tracker or pretty much any other third-party tracker out there — super quick and with zero hassle in just a few steps. Just make sure it’s charged (my unit had to be plugged in first before using it), open the app, tap the “+” button, hit “Add Other Item,” and boom — you’re connected. You can name it, pick an icon, and you’re good to go.
This wallet tracker is identical to the brand’s FineTrack AirTag alternative I checked out a few weeks ago. That means you can not only use it to keep tabs on your item’s whereabouts using Apple’s Find My network, but also trigger the onboard chime, and even get Left Behind notifications on your iPhone. It works as advertised and I’ve had no issues with the tracking so far whatsoever.
What’s particularly noteworthy about this wallet tracker is its slim form factor. At just 1.7mm thick, I’d say it’s about the same thickness as two credit cards, and it easily slides into one of the card slots in my wallet. It comes in black and has a textured matte finish for a premium look and feel. Despite its sleek form factor, this wallet tracker features a built-in speaker and even a rechargeable battery. It can “sound alerts up to 80dB” which is loud enough and audible even from inside the wallet.
UGREEN says the FineTrack Slim wallet tracker can last for up to 12 months on a single charge, though I’m yet to fully test this claim considering I’ve only had it for a few weeks. You can keep an eye on its battery life via the Find My app, and top it up using the included proprietary cable that magnetically attaches to the pin. It would’ve been nice to have wireless charging support as you get on the KeySmart SmartCard wallet tracker for added convenience, but it’s not necessarily a deal-breaker considering you won’t be charging it quite often, especially if the battery life holds up to UGREEN’s claims.
This is a great option to consider overall if you’re looking for a tracker with Apple Find My support. You can use this tracker to keep tabs on pretty much anything from a backpack, luggage, and even keys with the included lanyard, but it’s particularly good for keeping in your wallet. The fact that this tracker comes with a rechargeable battery makes it better than many other options that become entirely useless after the battery dies. It’s also one of the more affordable trackers out there right now at $23.99 shipped.
