The e-mobility world has been quite abuzz since Lectric Ebikes changed its front page with what seems to be a teaser for the next generation of one of our – and America’s – favorite and best-selling e-bikes. As we reported, the clock is counting down towards the big news, and it’s almost time for us to find out just what we can expect from the brand going forward. Lectric Ebikes XP4 livestream live today
It all started over the weekend when Lectric added a graphic to its website and social media pages that simply read “XP4” along with “Tune in 5.6.2025 9:30AM PT.” We’re now less than an hour away, with the clock ticking ever closer until the big news is revealed.
The brand’s XP 3.0 e-bikes have been a staple of the e-mobility world, with their reliable commuting power alongside the lower prices that often beat out most competitors, especially in the American market. The brand has had these e-bikes cut down at prices lower than we’ve ever seen over the last month, which has many riders questioning what might be happening.
With the current uncertainty surrounding the U.S. market, which is due to the tariffs being introduced over the last few months, it’s anybody’s guess as to just what we will be getting during the upcoming livestream. Likely, we’ll be getting a rundown on the changes happening as the best-selling model steps into its newest generation, but many are also worried that prices may be impacted as well. Though, even with the tariffs we’ve seen placed on e-bikes in the past, Lectric still held strong against raising prices, and it certainly hasn’t seemed to affect its place at the top of the American e-bike market.
Of course, the biggest wonders – aside from possible pricing – is just what could be coming to push the XP series up to the next level. Will it be a more humble refresher of the series or sport some major upgrades? Are we going to get new parts thrown into the mix – such as a torque sensor to support its pedal assistance or maybe some Apple Find My or other location-tracking option that is becoming more popular and common among e-bikes and e-scooters recently?
