If the $449 list price on the Ultra set is a bit much for your needs, and the return of Prime Day pricing on the wonderful new Sony XM6 cans is too, one of the next best recommendations I have for folks is the latest Bose QuietComfort Headphones. Delivering on just about all of the most important features you’ll find in the more pricey Ultra set, you can now land these in various colors down at $229 shipped on Amazon, instead of the usual $349 list price.
Bose quietly raised the price on these cans up to $359 from the $349 they carried previously. But, fortunately, the deals are still reaching down just as low as they were before hand – you can now score a set at $120 off the previous list and $130 off what they go for these days.
We did see select colors drop to $200 for Prime Day this year at the top of last month, but if you missed out there you can still land a more than respectable deal price on one of the more value-packed sets of ANC over-ears out there in my opinion.
You’re not going to get the Bose Spatial Audio or Snapdragon Sound like you will with the more pricey Ultra set, but the standard QuietComforts do include the same 24-hour battery life, Wind Block tech, and the usual Bose Quiet and Aware Modes to either block the world out, or let just the right amount in. Additional features include the adjustable EQ options for those of you who like to tinker with the frequency response as well the ability to go wired (if the battery dies, or something along those lines), and leverage a 15-minute quick charge for additional 2.5 hours of listening time.
