Aventon’s new security-packed Pace 4 smart step-through cruiser e-bike gets second-ever discount to $1,699 low

As part of its Final Summer Sale running through September 3, Aventon is offering a second chance at cash savings on its new Pace 4 Smart Step-Through Cruiser e-bike for $1,699 shipped. This newer model hit the scene back in April with a full $1,799 price tag, which only saw occasional bundle packages tacked on until the brand’s July 4th sale offered the first discount to this same rate. Now the $100 markdown is coming back around for the second time, officially solidifying this price as the lowest tracked.

The Aventon Pace 4 step-through cruiser e-bike is one of several new smart commuters that have released over the last handful of months, with it following alongside the first discounts on the new Abound SR Cargo e-bike during this sale. It’s been given a 500W rear hub motor (peaking at 864Wh) alongside a removable 733Wh battery to provide standard speeds up to 20 MPH, unless your local laws permit the unlocking of its 28 MPH max speed. There are three customizable PAS levels that support your journeys for up to 70 miles, with those levels themselves being supported by a torque sensor, with any throttle usage lessening this range.

Of course, there are a solid array of stock features, like the Tektro hydraulic front and rear brakes, integrated front and rear lighting, a color display, and more – but the most notable additions are the included smart features. We’re all worried about theft these days, and the brand has taken those concerns into mind with the addition of a startup password, remote rear wheel locking, and even an onboard alarm system that has “unusual activity detection” to send immediate notifications to your phone, among others.
