CES 2026 is now underway, and with it, we’re getting unveilings of various new tech that will be rolling out over the new year. Jackery is making waves with the unveiling of its new Explorer 1500 Ultra Portable Power Station, which is better designed to handle the various external elements that await you on outdoor adventures, complete with fully sealed output ports and bolstered structural integrity.
While many portable backup power solutions are tailored to support you through outdoor travels, gatherings, and the like, they can still run into problems if exposed to too much dust, sand, rain, and other elements. The brand deems the Explorer 1500 Ultra as having been designed with real-world use in mind, and is meant to be a more professional-grade power solution that maintains a more compact size like we’ve seen from many of its newest units, while still offering significant capacity and output to cover your needs. Not only does it come in “50% smaller and lighter than those with similar capacities,” but it’s even been built to withstand up to magnitude-9 earthquake force.
The Explorer 1500 Ultra power station brings along a 1,536Wh LiFePO4 battery capacity and steady output of up to 1,800W. That output boasts some nice surging power, too, as it can deliver up to 2,000W for 15 minutes or even 3,600W for 5 seconds, covering high-draw devices with surge protection. As you might expect, it comes as a solid means for uninterruptible power supply at home, too, with a 20ms automatic power loss switchover for devices/appliances connected to it.

Among its array of output ports, you’ll find three ACs, a 100W USB-C PD port, a 30W USB-C port, an 18W USB-A port, and a 12V car port – and the best part is they all come sealed with an IP65 dustproof and water-resistant rating.
It boasts four primary means to recharge its own battery, with a standard AC outlet putting it back to full in around three to four hours (with a supercharge mode that lessens this timeframe). From there, you can use your car’s auxiliary port to charge as you drive in up to 14.5 hours, or even connect a gas generator when off-grid. Another off-grid solution is using either 400W of solar input for up to 4 hours of charging, or utilize its full 800W solar input for up to 2.5 hours of charging, of course, this is assuming you have proper sunlight during these periods.
Jackery’s Explorer 1500 Ultra Portable Power Station is now available for purchase, with the base station starting at a $1,299 MSRP and launching at a discounted rate of $899 shipped. There’s also a solar bundle option that gives you the power station with two 200W solar panels at $1,499 shipped, down from its $2,199 MSRP.
