Update: Smart Play, smart bricks, smart minifigs, and three new Star Wars sets are now official – details here.
LEGO has now taken to its official social channels to tease a new upcoming launch. And by the sounds/looks of it, this might be more like a new theme and potentially even something more high-tech than your usual brick building action.
LEGO CES 2026 teaser
The new teaser doesn’t give us much to go on, unlike some of its Pokemon and Nintendo crossover teasers we got in 2025. But the tag line reading “enter a whole new dimension of play” in combination with the entirely abstract imagery has many thinking this is some kind of smart brick situation, or some kind of higher-tech lineup of brick-built releases that might even include app integration or AI.
Is LEGO Dimensions making some kind of triumphant return?
As far as what we are actually seeing here, it’s really just a series of mostly out of focus renders depicting all black LEGO bricks with some quotes that from appear to be from young kids:
“How does it do that?”
“It sounds like it’s actually talking”

So it’s some kind of robotics LEGO set that can talk or make sound of some kind? Perhaps it is a a series of new smart sets tied to an app-based experience? And potentially something specifically geared towards kids?
I’m not sure any LEGO fan is asking for any of that, but we will almost certainly know for sure this morning/afternoon.
The LEGO Group is scheduled to take to the show floor at CES 2026 this year, and chances are this latest teaser is hinting at what’s to come from Las Vegas. We will almost certainly know more today starting at 10 a.m. PT.
