The best creative work also happens outside of a controlled studio, but traditional tripods aren’t always built for the spontaneity of the real world. We engineered the Active Mount to adapt instantly to the environments we already move through. We wanted to create a tool that turns everyday surfaces into usable shooting positions, giving you more control over framing, composition, and perspective without adding bulk or complexity to your kit.
It is precision-machined from industrial-grade aluminum, much as we would expect from SANDMARC – this stuff is seriously well-made – with what appears to be quite a robust magnetic system: It can stick to racks at the gym, vehicles, railings, fences, urban structures, kitchen appliances for overhead angles, and…you get the picture. I haven’t tested it out myself yet, but in my experience if anyone was going to deliver a magnetic mounting system you can trust will actually hold strong, it will likely be SANDMARC.
