ASUS’ new ROG Swift OLED gaming monitor with up to 720Hz refresh rate
ASUS is leaning heavily on this monitor’s new TrueBlack Glossy coating as one of the big upgrades here, calling it a clear step up from the previous generation’s standard panel. The company says this “zero-haze” surface pairs with an anti-reflective layer that cuts ambient reflections by 38% compared to its earlier glossy WOLED displays. On paper, that should translate into a more immersive viewing experience, although it remains to be seen how it fares in the real world.
The highlight of this ROG Swift 2026 model, though, is the dual-mode feature that lets you switch between QHD and HD resolutions. Doing so also changes the refresh rate, scaling from 540Hz in QHD mode all the way up to a staggering 720Hz in HD. There’s no shortage of monitors out there that now offer dual-mode support, but this ROG Swift model steps things up with up to a 720Hz refresh rate. Other display specs include VESA DisplayHDR 500 TrueBlack, 99.5% DCI-P3 coverage, true 10-bit color, Delta E <2 calibration, and a rated 0.02ms response time.
The transparent design, as previously mentioned, also helps it stand apart visually, and it’s backed by a DisplayPort 2.1a UHBR20 connection with the full 80Gb/s of bandwidth.
