New Belkin Qi2 25W UltraCharge Pro Convertible MagSafe Charger w/ active cooling now up for sale

Belkin updated its lineup of wireless magnetic charging stands last summer headlined by the 3-in-1 Belkin UltraCharge Pro 25W. We came away mostly quite impressed with that model after review, but we have just spotted the new Qi2 25W 2-in-1 variant with a foldable design and the brand’s ChillBoost active cooling technology up for sale at Amazon.  

The previous releases were limited to the following three models – the main 3-in-1 dock with the cooling tech and a pair of thinner foldable travel models, all with Qi2 25W action:

• UltraCharge Pro 3-in-1 Magnetic Charging Dock $130
• UltraCharge 3-in-1 Foldable Magnetic Charger $100
• UltraCharge 2-in-1 Foldable Magnetic Charger $60

However, the latest model to go up for sale ahead of its official release on February 11 hit Amazon with a more proper desktop vibe like the UltraCharge Pro, but in a 2-in-1 form-factor with a lighter price tag and a transformable design. It is certainly not as slim as the foldable variants listed above, but it does provide a more substantial setup with the brand’s ChillBoost active cooling tech to reduce throttling as it’s getting up into the 25W MagSafe wireless power transmission. 

It also features what I would consider is a more premium looking design than the foldable variants with few different charging orientation options:

This model, of course, lands with 25W Qi2 action on the main MagSafe charging pad while also featuring a sort of pop-out Apple Watch charger as well, both of which can be folded into the unit while still providing wireless charging on the top (as seen above). 

Adjustable stand angle lets you switch between portrait or landscape while viewing the time or content in the office, bedroom, or anywhere you charge.

This one looks very much like the 3-in-1 model we already reviewed otherwise, with a soft silicone wrapped around the metal extension arm and a non-slip base. 

In our experience with that 3-in-1 model, the active cooling certainly did what it was meant to and without making much noise either:
