Nintendo just teased all-new LEGO sets, and Super Mario minifigures!

Happy Mario Day, LEGO Super Mario minifigs have been officially announced! Just when you thought the Mario reveals were done for the day, Nintendo and LEGO have just released a new teaser video on social announcing all-new Super Mario minifigs and sets.

New LEGO Nintendo sets teased with Mario minifig

Up until now, the official brick built Nintendo and LEGO collaboration, at least on the Mario and friends side of things, has been extensive but limited to larger figure builds, Mario Kart sets like the brand new Luigi Mach 8 build that was released today, and blocky recreations like the LEGO Game Boy. All mostly quite epic for sure, but no proper Nintendo minifigs like we have already seen on the Zelda side of things.

Check this out though:

We don’t have any proper details on what these “sets” might be, but that is clearly a proper Mario minifigure, and more than likely just a teaser for what will presumably include, in some way shape or form, a whole lot more than just Mario himself. Something’s telling me these sets might land shortly after the next proper 2D Mario title for Switch (or at least I’m hoping anyway) and maybe see an official reveal on Mario Day 2027.
