elago’s new Game Boy Switch 2 game case is a must-see, now down at $13

Elago has been serving cute, quirky, and nostalgia fueled tech accessories for years, and its Game Boy-inspired designs have been some of the best of them. It recently launched another vintage Nintendo handheld accessory in the form of the NW5 Nintendo Switch 2 Game Case, and there is an early launch deal available on Amazon right now.

Game Boy Switch 2 game case

Perhaps not the most practical Switch and Switch 2 cartridge holder, mostly because it is its own separate unit and it can’t hold 10 or more of them, but it is one of the coolest ones we have seen yet. To be honest, it’s almost cool and affordable enough just as a Nintendo or game room collectible if you ask me.

Designed in the shape of a mini Game Boy, the NW5 is made to deliver a nostalgia-fueled Switch cartridge and microSD carrying case for your Switch and Switch 2 setup.

A group of video game consoles and game cartridges

When you pull the inner case out of the Game Boy-like facade, you’ll find special slots designed to safely and neatly store up to three Switch games and three microSD cards – I guess the idea is that elago is banking on folks having more digital titles than physical games, but either way that’s likely more than enough for road trips or just your typical on-the-go setup.

A white and red device with a red and black screen

There is also an included keyring and carabiner clip so you can affix it to your bag or anywhere else for that matter.

Features at a glance:

  • Custom retro design made from scratch
  • Convenient storage and portability for game cartridges and micro SD cards
  • Holds up to 3 switch game cards and 3 micro SD cards
  • Made from silicone to protects cards from scratches and prevents loss; keychain included
  • Compatible with Nintendo Switch game cartridges 1 and 2

The elago Game Boy Switch game carrier has a $16 MSRP, but there is now an early deal waiting on the official Amazon storefront that will drop the price down to just $12.99 Prime shipped after you clip the on-page coupon.
