Satechi is the maker of one of my personal favorite MagSafe charging stands – this metal 3-in-1 model right here, but today it is finally ready to jump into the next-generation with a brand new 25W unit and an upgraded design.
Satechi has now officially revealed its new 3-in-1 Foldable Wireless Charging Stand, complete with the latest industry standard Qi2 25W action.
Satechi says its latest model is a “true desktop charging stand, not just a travel charger,” delivering “Qi2-certified 25W fast wireless charging while maintaining a stable, sculpted form that fits naturally into modern setups.”
All of that is to say it is very much the same as the previous-generation model I have sitting on my desk right beside the new one. It features a sort of more rounded, modernized look in a Space Black metal treatment with the upgraded 25W of juice on the main MagSafe pad.
It, much like the previous model, includes a foldable main arm that carries the MagSafe pad on the top/front and the pop out Apple Watch puck on the back. While I very much agree with Satechi here, it is in fact more of a desktop charger than a portable one in my opinion and that’s how I have been using it.
Built on the Qi2 wireless charging standard, the 3-in-1 Foldable Wireless Charging Stand delivers up to 25W of fast wireless power to MagSafe-compatible iPhones, Qi2 devices, and Qi-enabled devices with magnetic adapter rings. Advanced safety protections help maintain consistent charging performance while minimizing heat and power loss.
There’s still something about the previous model with the more silvered look of the metal framing around the AirPods charger in the base that I’m drawn to, and I also really like the more beefy, but equally as thin overall frame. But the new one is quite slick looking – I will be testing this thing out on a day-to-day here to see if it can keep up with the previous model’s performance. I will check back in soon.
