Nomad is and has been one of our favorite tech accessory brands, but with today’s new product launch it is stepping away from the iPhones and Apple Watches to offer some support for Starlink users.
Today Nomad is launching its new Starlink Cable. Built for life off-grid, it is described as a “heavy-duty cable” made to help keep your “Starlink Mini connected wherever you roam.”
It features an aluminum adapter for a “clean, premium look to your dashboard” alongside a silicone gasket on the other end to deliver a “secure, weather-resistant connection.” The actual cable itself is made of a double-braided Kevlar outer weave to keep it safe from the elements and harsh weather while a 50-foot reach “allows you to chase the strongest signal.” Nomad says its “highly efficient power delivery helps your Starlink run longer without draining its battery.”
Here’s what Nomad’s co-founder had to say about the brand’s newest release:
I spend around 3-4 months a year working from a van or boat, fully off-grid. The only way I can do this is with a highly reliable internet connection. The Starlink itself is very reliable, but the existing cables are the weak link. I had at least 3 backup options with me in case a cable failed, and they often did. They have to survive ocean spray, getting run over (yes, it happens), being stepped on, being buried in sand, etc. I wanted a super durable, overbuilt power system that I could truly rely on.
You simply plug the new “Starlink Cable into any 12V or 24V vehicle socket and connect the other end to your Starlink Mini.”
Features at a glance:
- Powers Starlink Mini
- Highly efficient 12V aluminum adapter
- Kevlar®-reinforced cable
- Custom silicone cable tie
- 50ft reach
The new Nomad Starlink Cable is available now on the official site at $69 shipped.
