Apple’s most affordable M5 MacBook Air returns to Amazon all-time lows at $150 off

Just after seeing Amazon deliver its new all-time low and the very best price we have tracked on the base model 15-inch M5 MacBook Air at $199 off, it is now starting to bring back the deals on the most affordable 13-inch model from $949 as well.

Amazon is now offering the 13-inch M5 MacBook Air at $949 shipped. This is the entry point to the new 2026 M5 MacBook Air lineup that carries a $1,099 list price sitting at $150 off what you’ll pay at Apple and elsewhere.

While not all of the color options have dropped back down (yet), we are expecting to see the 13-inch lineup return to all-time low pricing at Amazon between now and Memorial Day proper on Monday.

Yesterday we saw it delivering new all-time low pricing on the entry 15-inch model and the very best deal we have tracked there on the new M5 Air lineup at $199 off – select colors are still live right now at this particularly notable price:

Whether or not we see Amazon drop the more affordable 13-inch models down into the nearly $200 off range remains to be seen, but it is, at the very least, a little more unlikely than the 15-inchers. The more expensive price tag on the larger model is seemingly giving retailers a little bit more wiggle room for deeper deals – this has been the case over the last month where we have seen special offers on the 15-inch models from time-to-time that have largely not been available on the 13-inchers.

Nonetheless, the best deals we have tracked to date on the lineup are returning ahead of Memorial Day weekend, making now a wonderful chance to upgrade to Apple’s latest, most accessible, and likely most suitable M5-powered machine for most folks.
