LEGO officially reveals its ‘first-ever playable’ Arcade Pinball Machine set

LEGO has just officially revealed the latest addition to its Icons theme with the new Arcade Pinball Machine set. Pre-orders go live soon as it is officially set for release next month.

LEGO Icons Arcade Pinball Machine revealed

The new LEGO Icons Arcade Pinball Machine (11374) appears to be an overhauled edition of the classic space variant, this time with a 2,274 piece count, a $229.99 retail price, and the honor of being the “first-ever working LEGO Icons Arcade Pinball Machine.”

While this one will look great on the shelf in the game room, we are looking at a fully-functional (or at least as much as one can expect made of LEGO) brick-built pinball machine here. The spring-loaded launcher sits next to a pair of flippers, with various moving elements on the table itself – spinning bumpers, a ramp bridge, and more.

Players can launch the ball and aim for targets across the playfield, including a mission to reunite an astronaut with a space-roving baby by hitting a key asteroid target. The integrated progress bar can be reset, allowing for repeat play.

Blending creativity, engineering and nostalgia, the set offers a uniquely interactive building experience. It also includes two Minifigures: a classic space astronaut and a baby astronaut, affectionately known by fans as the ‘space baby’.

There are even some minfigs included here with the classic space astronaut and mini baby astronaut.

The new set will go live for LEGO Insiders first on July 1 before opening up to all on July 4. Here’s a closer look:
