Base model 15-inch M5 MacBook Air now $250 off new list price at Amazon

Prices have gone up on the latest MacBook models, and that’s just something we have to deal with, but Amazon is at least offering some serious price relief today – the base model 15-inch M5 MacBook Air is nearly $250 off the new list price.

Amazon is now offering the 15-inch M5 MacBook Air with 16GB of RAM and the 512GB internal storage capacity down at $1,249.99 shipped. This is the Sky Blue version of the most affordable 15-inch M5 you can buy.

Now carrying a regular price at $1,499, you’re looking at a solid $249 off the price at Apple here and the best deal we have tracked on any current-generation MacBook Air since the price hikes landed at Amazon.

As of the time of writing, this deal is only live on the Sky Blue model, but we are talking about a serious discount for anyone who might be considering a new M5 machine this summer. There’s no telling how deal pricing might shake out at retail in the coming months and one can only assume Amazon’s price on these MacBooks has gone up to some degree as well. The chances of seeing these machines back down at the prices we saw earlier this year anytime soon do not seem good right now.

Much of the same analysis applies to this giant $449 price drop we spotted this morning on this 2TB M5 Pro MacBook Pro as well.
