The truth is out there, and today, LEGO is unveiling it! That’s right, for folks who grew up watching TV in the 90s, you’ll likely be very excited to learn that LEGO is revealing the upcoming Ideas 21369 The X-Files set based on the cult-favorite series of the decade – and what’s more, it’s also getting a GWP set upon its release, too. Any science fiction fans who grew up or simply watched TV in the 90s are aware of The X-Files, and like all of you, I am very excited about this new reveal, as it was one of the first common ground TV shows I ever found with my father. Based on the original LEGO Ideas submission from Brent Waller (AKA WetWired), which is retaining most of its design here, you won’t have to wait very long to start digging into all the mystery (I’m assuming there will be tons of Easter Eggs) contained within the LEGO Ideas 21369 The X-Files set.
It’s going to be stacking up to 1,478 pieces, giving you an iconic brick-built slice of the paranormal world inhabited by Agent Scully and Mulder, complete with Mulder’s office, a forest clearing, and a UFO hovering above it all. Aside from Fox Mulder and Dana Scully minifigures, you’ll also be getting minifigures of Walter Skinner, Mr. X, Alex Krycek, Carl Busch, The Flukeman, and a Grey. There’s no Tooms included, but that might be because LEGO is keeping its distance from the actor who portrayed him, but the lineup is still solid without him.
The new LEGO Ideas 21369 The X-Files set will officially hit shelves on August 1, 2026 for Inisiders at $199.99 shipped, while general release is scheduled for August 4, 2026. Purchases of the set between August 1 and 10th will also be receiving the 40896 Scully’s Lab GWP as long as supplies last.
