If you need a new MacBook for back to school: M5 Air is $100 off and M5/Pro is up to $400 off

Price hikes have hit the current-generation MacBook lineup, but Amazon is, at the very least, providing some back to school and Black Friday in July price relief here. Just about all 13-inch M5 MacBook Air configurations are now $100 less than purchasing them straight from Apple if you need to pick one up this weekend/month. 

These are not the best prices we have tracked across the lineup, but considering everything just got more expensive straight from Apple, we wanted to make sure these deals were at the very least on the radar for folks who might need to score one for heading back to school or something along those lines:

• 13-inch M5 MacBook Air 16GB/512GB from $1,199 (Now Reg. $1,299) 
• 13-inch M5 MacBook Air 16GB/1TB from $1,499 (Now Reg. $1,599) 
• 13-inch M5 MacBook Air 24GB/1TB from $1,699 (Now Reg. $1,799) 

Again, we are very much not looking at all-time low prices here, but with prices jumping up dramatically across the lineup, any sort of relief we can get at this point is welcome. If you don’t need a new machine right now, we recommend holding off until much later in the year when we will hopefully see deal pricing come back down again. But if you really need one for a back to school situation, don’t buy one straight from Apple – keep the $100 in your pocket for something else.
