Satechi went head on Anker with its latest display-laden ChargeView desktop charging unit back in April, and today it is unleashing a more powerful model.
New 240W Satechi ChargeView Desktop Charger
The new 240W Satechi ChargeView Desktop Charger “takes the same desk-first design philosophy – visible power, refined finish, and a precision stand – and scales it up for professionals and creators running the most demanding multi-device setups.
Much like some of the similar models we featured from brand’s like Anker, and the 140W model previously, the new ChargeView is designed to deliver a heads up power unit that is very much supposed to be on display, providing a modern, high-tech look for desktop and the power stats that come along with it.
It features an integrated LCD display front and center that showcases “live per-port wattage so users can see at a glance that every device is charging at full speed, without unplugging or second-guessing.”
As far as the I/O goes, you’re looking at six USB-C ports on this more capable model with a total output of 240W. The C1 and C2 jacks deliver up to 140W each via USB PD 3.2 EPR AVS, while “C3 and C4 deliver up to 100W each, and C5 and C6 up to 30W each — all with USB PD 3.0 PPS.”
All told, it is effectively the same rock solid and attractive desktop solution as the original ChargeView, just with a whole lot more juice for power hungry, multi-device setups.
It comes in Space Black with a metallic matte finish and a glossy borderless display cover, alongside the included stand that supports both “vertical and horizontal placement. Horizontal orientation provides a slight forward tilt for improved display viewing from a seated position while vertical minimizes the desk footprint. Its compact size keeps your workspace organized, delivering powerful multi-device charging without taking up valuable desk space.”
Satechi’s ChargeView 240W Desktop Charger debuts today at $149.99 shipped via Amazon and the official Satechi site.
