Latest AirPods Pro 3 still down at 25% off, next-gen set not expected until 2027

While at one point it seemed as though the recent string of deals on AirPods Pro 3, and this week’s solid 25% price drop, were just part of Amazon’s attempt to clear stock out ahead of the usual September next-generation update, it’s starting to look as though the new AirPods won’t land until next year

Amazon is currently offering Apple’s latest and greatest AirPods Pro 3 down at one of the best prices to date – $189.99 shipped. That’s just shy of 25% off the regular list price.

You certainly can’t go wrong with AirPods Pro 3, and certainly not at a price like that, but some folks might just be holding out to see what Apple has on deck for the next-generation in a few week’s time anyway – this has, as of late, been when it debuts the new AirPods alongside the latest iPhone and Apple Watch.

However, 9to5Mac just recently spotted a video inside of the latest macOS beta build showcasing the rumored AirPods with cameras just before a typically quite reliable source suggested Apple’s camera-laden buds are not expected to land until 2027.

Not only could this mean the AirPods Pro 3 will remain the flagship set for least another half a year or so from now, but it is also rather notable confirmation that the price on the camera-equipped models could be even more than the $249 list on the current set. It’s certainly not a guarantee or anything, but this does appear to be a pretty major feature upgrade, and considering the price hikes that have already hit the Apple lineup, it is a possibility.

The 25% price drop on Amazon is looking more and more enticing if you ask me.
