Spigen unleashed some impressive for the price Athlex Air Apple Watch Bands over the last couple years. The first model, one I still use to this day, delivers a hook and loop closure with a velcro clasp alongside a woven fabric strap construction. But it has just released a second version of the Athlex Air band with a magnetic treatment and a new band design starting from just $22. 

The new Spigen Athlex Air Apple Watch Band lands with a two-tone design – a sort of inner and outer strap approach in two different colors. Inside of that, you’ll find an inner adjustable strap, much like the first edition models – I really like this system as you can easily get the band as snug as you want with one hand. 

Easily slide the inner strap to adjust the band length for a personalized, secure fit tailored to your wrist.

This time the design is reminiscent of the old Apple Magnetic Link models:

Instead of the velcro, this time it is using a “powerful built-in magnet” that “securely locks the band in place through all-day activity without loosening, eliminating the hassle of clasps or buckles.” 

Spigen Apple Watch bands certainly aren’t the most high-end options out there, but I have come away rather impressed with some of its latest releases and am looking forward to giving this one a try.
