SanDisk’s 512GB Switch 2 Express microSD card is back to its best price of the year at $98

Over at Walmart, you’ll find the 512GB SanDisk GamePLAY microSD Express card down at $98 shipped. This model originally launched at $120 but has climbed to around $150 in recent months amid the broader memory price hikes, so today’s offer takes $52 off that recent going rate for a solid 35% discount. It’s now essentially back to the same price we tracked for it last month. At $98, this remains the lowest price we’ve tracked since the hikes began and the best price we’ve seen so far this year. It has only gone for less once before, when the 512GB model briefly hit $89, putting today’s deal within just $9 of the all-time low. Amazon, in case you’re wondering, currently lists this 512GB variant at $129.99 shipped, making Walmart’s price worth considering. Head below for more details.

The SanDisk GamePLAY microSD Express card is a particularly solid pick for Nintendo Switch 2, and this 512GB model gives you a lot more room to work with if your game library is starting to pile up. It can hit read speeds of up to 880MB/s and write speeds of up to 650MB/s, taking advantage of the faster microSD Express standard on supported devices. It’s also backward compatible with regular microSD hardware, so you can still use it elsewhere, just without the higher Express speeds. The card itself is tiny enough to leave installed in your handheld without thinking about it, and the 512GB capacity makes it a useful upgrade if you want to keep more games downloaded instead of constantly juggling storage.

We’re also tracking a particularly notable deal on Acer’s Nitro 65 RTX 5060 gaming PC, which is worth a look if you’re shopping for a new desktop. It’s down from its usual $1,425 price to a new all-time low, delivering some serious value for the hardware you’re getting.

SanDisk 512GB Express microSD card features:

  • NEXT GEN GAMING: Works with Nintendo Switch 2.
  • READY FOR TOMORROW. Ready for future superspeed products with PCIe-NVMe interfaces and performs at UHS-I speeds when used with microSD UHS-I and UHS-II devices.
  • EXPONENTIALLY FASTER PERFORMANCE. Up to 3.5X times faster read speeds than our fastest microSD UHS-I cards[3] with up to 880 MB/s[2] transfer speeds.
  • MASSIVE TIME-SAVER. Transfer up to 60 minutes of 4K UHD video[4] shot at 30 fps in just less than 15 seconds[9] and up to 1,000 10MP RAW photos in less than 50 seconds[8] when paired with SANDISK PRO-READER SD Express Dual Card (sold separately) [1TB model[1]].
  • DURABILITY YOU CAN COUNT ON: Cards are waterproof, temperature-proof, humidity-proof, drop-proof, shock-proof, magnetic-proof, x-ray proof, and wear-out proof.[5]
